I had a friend on the Facialbook today say that he wanted Ron Paul for president. This was my response:
"I absolutely agree with his position that an individual should have the right to make their own decisions, and from an outside perspective, he seems very open minded. I just don't understand how he could say that a person should be able to do what they want, and then turn around and sign the bill against gay marriage. I would worry that if he's elected president, that he would sign anti-marijuana bills into law as well.
You and I both know that the legalization of Marijuana as well as gay marriage would be a huge benefit to the economy, but the things that Ron Paul says, and the things that he does are a bit opposite. His personal stance and his political stance are different and to me, that's kind of weird."
I really do agree that some things should be up to the states to decide, but you can't just go around talking about it, and then doing what you think that the republican party wants. It's especially bad when those are two completely different things.
I also think that Ron Paul talking about the legalization of heroin and prostitution got a bit to liberal, even for me. I mean, you have to have some guidelines, even if they are a bit loose. When you think about it, he sounds more like an anarchist than a republican. I wouldn't want to vote for someone who will unintentionally increase the crime rate, and say "it's an individual's right to choose." WTF
Yes I'm liberal, but I believe that there should be laws, and guidelines as well. There needs to be a balance. Having a different political stance than what you feel personally is not the balance that I believe America needs.

Tell me What Obama has Done Wrong
So, as some of you might have already guessed, I'm one of those Hollywood liberal hippies who believe that we can change this country through common sense. If we all just thought for half a second before we did anything, the world would be a better place.
That's the problem with this country. There was a time when being Republican stood for something. Now, I guess it just means that you're retarded. Seriously, I mean Sarah Palin has all the charm of your redneck neighbor who goes out hitting animals with his gas guzzeling Jeep Grand Cherokee, but as a political figure, that's just not effective.
I mean lets think for a second. Yes, rednecks are charming, funny people, who would just love to use all the world's resources if it means making their life just a little bit better, but do you really want one of these un-educated pricks as your next president?!
I'd rather have cousin Eddie from "National Lampoons Vegas Vacation" as president than Sarah Palin. His character in the movie would probably do more for our country than that stupid whore. The scary thing is though, that we're really close to that.
Obama is someone who is actually working his ass off to pull this country in the right direction. Some of these republicans "IE the Tea Party" just can't stand the fact that there is an African American president who is more educated than they are. I guess it makes them feel inferior, which is funny, because they are. But it's ok, because they are all old white people, so they should be dieing off real soon.
It's kind of hard not to respect Obama, considering the amount of opposition that he's had since the day that he entered office. Not just because he's African American, but from an outside perspective, every idea he's ever had has been opposed by idiots.
And now, when some of these ideas have actually worked, the idiots are saying "well you should have had a bigger stimulus, you should have done this better, or that better." My response to that is "it's not like he didn't try". The reson that he didn't do things well enough, is that he had to compromise for you dumb asses, and now the tea party is criticizing him for it?! Really tea party?! Really? Get your head out of your ass and make some real suggestions before you criticize. If you have a better idea on how to run the country, I'd love to hear it.
